About Us
Arunodaya Youth Association
We focus on fostering youth leadership development and cultivating entrepreneurial skills in Ananthapur.
The Arunodaya Youth Association was established in 1982 by like-minded youths from diverse professional backgrounds, aiming to address social issues affecting marginalized communities. Initially focusing on the remote village of Poolakunta, which lacked facilities and government attention, we gradually expanded our efforts to neighboring villages in the Nallacheruvu Mandal, aiming to amplify our impact. Currently, we operate in 215 villages across Nallacheruvu and Tanakallu Mandals of Ananthapur District, prioritizing the holistic development of vulnerable populations through education, capacity-building training, awareness camps, skill enhancement opportunities, and support for micro-enterprises, leading to their economic empowerment. To date, we have reached over 16,000 beneficiaries.

To organize and support workshops and programs centered on youth empowerment, to give them access to basic education and work, and to assist them in fostering their creative and leadership potential.
Programs
Youth Development Initiatives
Youth development at AYA is an intentional, prosocial approach that engages youth within their communities, schools, organizations, peer groups, and families in a manner that is productive and constructive; recognizes, utilizes, and enhances young people’s strengths; and promotes positive outcomes for young people by providing opportunities, fostering positive relationships, and furnishing the support needed to build on their leadership strengths.
Environmental Protection Initiative in Nallacheruvu
The NGO is dedicated to environmental protection and has launched an extensive program in Nallacheruvu Mandal. This initiative includes conducting plastic awareness programs in every village within the Mandal, aiming to educate residents about the importance of environmental conservation and reducing plastic usage. Through these efforts, the NGO seeks to foster a culture of sustainability and promote a plastic-free environment.

Plastic Awareness Program
On April 6, 2024, our NGO conducted a Plastic-Free Environment Awareness Program in Nallacheruvu. The Arunodaya Youth Association recently organized a plastic awareness camp in the area, where residents from nearby villages were educated about the harmful effects of plastic and encouraged to reduce its usage.19-Feb-2024
Health Camp for Students
Our organization recently organized a health camp for school students in Nallacheruvu. The camp aimed to provide medical check-ups and health education to students, ensuring their well-being and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Through this initiative, we strive to contribute to the overall health and development of the community.30-Mar-2023
Distribution of clothes
On the account of Shri Rama Navami, clothes and food were distributed to children of Nallacheruvu region.15-Oct-2019
Vitamin A and Eye Care program
With the support of Taskforce Sight for All, Brazil through PEEC, Velgodu we conducted vitamin A and Eyecare programs in 20 different schools and created awareness on the importance, sources, deficiency, and symptoms of vitamin A. Later distributed vitamin A tablets for below 12 years children.10-Feb-2019
Organic farming Training for farmers
We conducted 2 days organic training program covering the major ascepts – importance of organic farming, soil structure and biodiversity, reduce the risks of human, animal and environmental exposure to toxic materials, fince tune farming practices to meet the local production conditions.Our Impact
